The first Warsaw Culinary Festival “Plants, Insects and Honey” will take place in the Botanical Garden of the University of Warsaw this weekend 8-10 September. The event will be accompanied by workshops, culinary shows, lectures and discussions. Numerous food stands and local specialties from farmers and small producers will be displayed in the garden. The program includs, among others: “What is Polish cuisine” panel discussion, “Food Design by Cuisine” and “Food Cosmetics” workshops, a special Friday evening dinner cooked by: Joanna Jakubiuk, Andrzej Andrzejczak, Martin Gimenez Castro, Marcin Koch, Tomasz Maćkowiak and Wit Szychowski will cook. In addition to the garden events there will also be an accompanying event at Muranów Cinema – three culinary films screenings by Films For Food. On Saturday we will see “Korzeń” about the Food Think Tank from Wroclaw and “Singhampton Project”, and on Sunday “In defense of food”. The organizers of the Festival are: Grzegorz Łapanowski from Food Lab Studio and Szkoła na Widelcu, Botanical Garden of Warsaw University and Targi WZORY.
