Stary Lwów restaurant opened in the summer on the backyard of Nowy Swiat on Gałczyńskiego street – in the premises where Bordo restaurant used to exist. Stary Lwów specializes in the Ukrainian cuisine. We can eat there chicken broth with dumplings stuffed with mutton, sorrel borscht, Lviv cake (pancakes with poultry liver, layered with vegetable stuffing), crispy dumplings with oscypek (Polish smoked sheep cheese), bacon and onion, pelmieni or dumplings stuffed with pork. Among the main courses you’ll find, among others, Lviv style roast (pork tenderloin with grilled sheep cheese and mushroom sauce) or Georgian style beef stew served with potato pancakes. For a few people you can order e.g. Kozacka Zagrycha – Cossack Snack – (chicken skewers, roasted bacon, pork knuckle roasted in beer, domestic sausage, ribs).
