Bar Gdański in Muranów closed at the end of October last year. Since the 1950s its name has been inseparable from the history of the district. The new tenant decided to keep the name, renovate the premises and retain the character of the Polish milk bar (bar mleczny). Bar Gdański will be reopened in early May, after completion of all the works. It was Kamil Hagemajer who was involved in the reactivation of the premises and he is in the Warsaw milk bars business already for several years. The menu of the refurbished bar will be similar to Kamil’s other premises (the Bar Prasowy from Marszalkowska, the chain of Mleczarnia Jerozolimska bars), but some of the ingredients will be prepared on-site, like eg. homemade pasta.
