It seems that there are more and more Japanese snacks in Warsaw. After the success of sushi rolls – Handroll, Rolls Rolls, Boskie Rollsy, Street Sushi – the onigiri trend starts where Warsaw pioneer was Temari Sushi Boutique. Onigiri are made of rice formed into an oval or a triangle, they are often wrapped in nori. My Onigiri – the first place in Warsaw devoted entirely to onigiri – was opened a few days ago in Ochota. It serves ten kinds of onigiri – including onigiri with baked salmon marinated in ginger-garlic or with tuna, chives and mayonnaise. There are also vegan versions like with Japanese radish, gourd and vegan mayonnaise. So far onigiri end approx. at 6pm every day, but the place is already working on increasing capacity.
