The new initiative FILMS for FOOD after the success of the Polish debut of ‘Noma, My Perfect Storm‘ film, goes with the flow. On Tuesday, December 13th at Kino Muranów “In Defense of Food” will be shown. The film by Michael Schwarz is based on the bestselling Michael Pollan’s book under the same title. The filmmakers answer the question, what we should really eat. They serve a few common sense rules, the observance of which makes the food becomes a source of health, strength and pleasure. After the screening at the Muranów Cinema, there will be a discussion led by Daria Pawelska – editor of KUKBUK magazine. It will be attended by Dorota Matera (expert from Bioekspert), Piotr Petryka (together with his wife, Agnieszka Kręglicka, they run several Warsaw restaurants) and Maia Sobczak (author of the www.qmamkasze.pl blog about healthy eating). “In Defense of Food” will also be shown in cinemas in Gdynia, Krakow and Wroclaw at the beginning of 2017. Warsaw Foodie is a media partner of this event.
