Nowina

Joanna Mróz 29 January 2017

Do not be fooled by the facade of the renovated building at Nowogrodzka. Beneath a new wine bar has been just opened and inside it looks much better than outside. NOWINA offers more than 400 wines from around the world, including approx. 60 opened by the glass. All are also available in the wine shop here to buy to take away. In the basement there is a tasting room, world map made of a cork and a small museum of corkscrews from private collection of the owner – Jarosław Cybulski. The chef here is former sous chief of Luisa Trisno from Ramen GirlGrzegorz Bińczycki. The menu is short and written on the blackboard. You can eat here tapas to accompany your wine (eg. roast beef with pommergrenade, pork loin in salt with country mustard, cod gravlax, roast chicory with Gruyere cheese, grilled zucchini with lemon and smoked salt) and entrees (beef stewed in wine, roasted eggplant with yogurt sauce, cous cous with offal, beef cheeks with roasted tubers.
