Sambal is a new Indonesian restaurant located in the heart of the Old Town. The chef of the new place is Sahnil Arif Farobiansah from Indonesia, who has gained gastronomic experience in restaurants in Bali, and then in Warsaw. The restaurant is open daily from 9 am and invites you for breakfast and coffee provided by Warsaw’s roaster Praska. In the breakfast menu you will find banana pancakes with honey, scrambled eggs, omelette with ham, boiled or fried eggs. For lunch and later you can order here popular Indonesian dishes such as nasi goreng (fried rice with chicken, prawns and vegetables), gado gado (steamed mix vegetables, tofu, bean cake), or sate ayam madura (grilled chicken satay served with peanut sauce and pickles). You can order here Indonesian soups: soto ayam (yellow chicken soup with vermicelli, shredded cabbage and boiled egg), laksa bogor (spicy prawn coconut soup with noodles and tofu). Main dishes include among others slow cooked beef in coconut milk, barbeque ribs served with spicy sauce or prawns with vegetables, garlic, kaffir leaf and indonesian chili paste.
