Państwomiasto is about to close after 5 years of operations in Andersa street. At the time when it opened, this part of the street was rather associated with closed empty premises with a sign “For Rent”. In the neighborhood there was also a restaurant with African cuisine La Mama and the old Bar Gdański. In recent years, the street has become more alive, also thanks to the weekend festival of Andersa Street organized annually by Państwomiasto. Nowadays in the neighbourhood you can visit Craft Beer Muranów pub, Radio Telewizja bookclub, Kooperatywa Dobrze food store, the renovated Bar Gdański, Roszki ice cream parlour, Chude Ciacho diet pastry shop, the spacious Green Cafe Nero and on the other side of the street Ćwierćfunciak burger bar.
Państwomiasto has been a socially engaged place – one could come here for a coffee, a snack or a beer, but also for a debate on the Constitution, watching the election results, a lecture on the political situation in Brazil, short movies or lectures on psychology. Negotiations with the district authorities regarding the new rent lasted for several months, but the parties did not reach an agreement. The lease contract has expired, the club is still open until the weekend and social activities will continue in other premises rented by the Projekt: Polska Foundation.
