Vistula river banks usually start to attract foodies only in the spring. The recent opening in Dec of the restaurant Fontanna (with the neon blinking to the cars riding Wisłostrada) shows that this need not be the rule. The new restaurant is located in the Pawilon Artystyczny in Multimedia Fountain Park at the foot of the New Town (Nowe Miasto). You can eat here mostly Italian dishes such as a variety of pizzas from the wood-fired oven, pasta produced on site with various sauces, risotto, mediolan style tripes, grilled octopus, osobucco alla milanese or beef fillet alla Rossini… The menu also features courses not originating from the Italian peninsula: Warsaw style tripe soup, herring in cream or foie gras torchon…
