Kultowe Zapiekanki, a new casserole place has been opened recently in Chmielna St. This is a tiny bar, where we can choose from more than 30 different types of casseroles. The menu includes standard, popular casseroles with mushrooms, but there are more exotic versions with tabasco and chilli or Polish with sausage. Apart from casseroles on the menu there were chicken wraps and rolls with mushrooms. The place welcomes customers event late at night – from Thursday to Saturday, the bar is open until 3 am.

We passed by this tiny store that looked popular among the locals, who explained zapiekanki is Polish fast food. Wow! Their zapiekanki not only is much better than one of the more “popular” and larger places around here, but also less expensive, averaging 10zl. Zapiekanka is a must-have in Poland. Reminds one of pizza. This place must be fairly new because I can’t find it nor do a review on TripAdvisor.
