Every year, on the third Thursday of November, many restaurants and wineries around the world will start tasting Beaujolais Nouveau. This year, the feast of the young French wine falls on the 17th of November. Beaujolais Nouveau is a young wine, which is produced from Gamay, a special variety of grapes grown in the Beaujolais region, north of Lyon. What distinguishes from other Beaujolais wines is its young age – there is only 6 weeks between grape harvest and wine tasting. Below is a list of selected restaurants in Warsaw, where from Thursday 17th November you will be able to taste the young French wine from the 2016 vintage. Some of the restaurants or bars prepared special attractions to celebrate the Beaujolais Nouveau arrival.

Cafe de la Poste pl. Konfederacji. Here you can start drinking Beaujolais in the morning on 17th of November. Wine and special snacks from Beaujolais region will be available all day long amd on the evening there will be Miruna & les Garcons concert. On 20th Nov they invite for the evening with Beaujolais Nouveau – there will be meeting with wine producer making natural Beaujolais Nouveau wines and the concert of Neil i Honorata from Kot Cliquot. Charlotte pl.Zbawiciela. As every year they invite for wine festival that will start on 17th Nov at 5 pm. If you buy a bottle of Beaujolais 2016 you’ll get Fougasse (crispy crust bread with rosemary and sea salt). There will be some music – Youruba will play – and dances. FB Event

On 18th Nov they invite for tasting of natural Beaujolais wines (lead by Karim Vionnet) with Lyon snacks. You will be able to taste not only Beaujolais Nouveau but all crus of producers associated Etoiles en Beaujolais club – elite association of women – wine producers. You may drink wine from 2016 vintage and eat special dishes from Beaujolais region such as goose pâté, chicken galantine, beef tongues or beef oxtail.
