Garmasz was opened three weeks ago in the Foksal Residence at 5 Kopernika St. It is a restaurant, a shop and a butcher – all in one. The owner and the face of the place is Piotr Pielichowski, known from MasterChef TV show. Pielichowski became famous in this location three years ago, when after long negotiations and the rent paid for one year, the community of the residence did not agree to open a restaurant there. In their opinion a restaurant would supposedly lower the prestige of the building. Pielichowski then covered the premises with aggressive posters and informed about the imminent opening of Lumpex (cheap second hand clothes shop).
This tactic must have worked, as now – 3 years later – he has opened Garmasz. The specialty of the place is seasoned beef. You will eat here a steak tartar – you can choose type of meat, additives (including even caviar and foie gras). Apart from tartar, the menu also includes a lemon jelly mackerel, squid with kimchi puree, chicken with truffle and buttermilk sauce, and steaks of various types of beef. Meat is seasoned on the spot. On-site cured meat, cheese and non-standard delicatessen are also available to buy here.
