It seems that the Danish NABO, the Place of the Year by Gazeta Wyborcza, is not the only place this week where you can enjoy Danish smørrebrød in Warsaw. Słony has just announced a week of smørrebrød. The menu of this stand-up bar this week (18.03-24.03) will include Smørrebrød with herring, potatoes and marinated apple; with parma ham and tomatoes and with baked ham, roast loin of pork, unleavened cucumber, marinated mushrooms and marinated pear. Smørrebrød is traditional Danish sandwich, made popular in the 80s of the nineteenth century by small restaurants in Copenhagen.
