Restaurant U Fukiera which has been offering Polish cuisine to Warsaw citizens and tourists for the last 30 years has recently introduced new breakfast and lunch menu. Every weekend between 10:00 and 14:00 the restaurant offers a special breakfast menu including seasonal dishes created by Magda Gessler and restaurant’s chef Patryk Burnicki. The morning menu includes among others shakshuka with roasted peppers and tomatoes, omelette with green asparagus and chives, whole avocado stuffed with lime, cottage cheese and chives, Magda Gessler’s hot pot with mustard and horseradish or assiette of home made sausages and ham served with bread and butter. To celebrate the morning we can order a glass of Moët & Chandon champagne for half the price to accompany breakfast.
At lunch time, from Monday to Friday, the chef offers a new set, daily changed menu based on seasonal products from Polish suppliers. We will order here a three-course menu (starter, main dish and dessert) for 35 PLN. The sample menu includes herring tartare, beef steak with chimichurri sauce and potatoes and for dessert rose semifreddo with white chocolate.
We can eat breakfast and lunch at Fukiera in the summer garden in the heart of the Warsaw Old Town, in the patio of the Fukier tenement house or in the air-conditioned rooms inside the restaurant. The restaurant also offers home delivery in Warsaw.
U Fukiera Restaurant, created by Magda Gessler, has been serving traditional Polish cuisine in a historic house at the Old Town for 30 years. Its history dates back to the 16th century, when the famous wine seller Grzegorz Korab built a tenement house and opened a wine warehouse in its basement.
The chef of the restaurant is Patryk Burnicki, who has 12 years of experience in the gastronomy industry, and started his career in France. He has been working with Magda Gessler already for 6 years, creating together dishes and menu of U Fukiera Restaurant.
