From November 5 to 11, selected restaurants from all over the country will introduce a special menu on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Poland’s independence as part of the Polish Cuisine Week campaign. The menu is inspired by the book “One hundred recipes for one hundred years of independence” with recipes for modern interpretations of historical dishes from various regions of Poland from the 19th and 20th centuries. The original recipes were chosen and commented by Professor Jarosław Dumanowski. The Polish Cuisine Week campaign is organized by the Makro as part of the Culinary Union of Poland program. The project aims to celebrate the anniversary of independence, as well as to popularize Polish cuisine in Poland and abroad through educational materials or culinary workshops. A special menu will appear in selected restaurants in Warsaw, Krakow, Zakopane, Poznan, Wroclaw, Tricity, Szczecin and Katowice. In Warsaw, the special menu will be served in the Folk Gospoda, Bistro Wuwu, Elixir, Pink Lobster, Miąższ, Castello Restaurant, Grand Kredens, Mokolove, Czerwony Wieprz and the Vis a Vis Restaurant.
