Valentine’s Day this year fall on Tuesday, which means that many restaurants prepared special offers for lovers that are valid beyond February 14 and also comprising the current weekend. Below there is a review of selected offers of restaurants and bars where you can spend a romantic evening for two. At the end of the article we placed also an idea for a gift and the option to organize a Valentine’s Day dinner at home with help of a professional chef.
Belvedere – On Feb 14th between 4 pm and 11 pm you can order Valentine’s five-course menu (including roe-deer steak tartare, zander with caviar, chocolate and champagne cream) at a price 290 PLN / person. Live music (piano and saxophone) starts at 7 pm.
Bistecca Bistro – between 11th and 14th Feb – four-course menu with a glass of prosecco at a price 149 PLN / person (including grilled duck breast with forest fruit sauce & smoked white chocolate or lemon sorbet with champagne sauce and strawberry)
DOM – Special Valentine’s five-course menu for Her and for Him (including white beet cream / white chocolate / chilli; pheasant / chicken heart / ajo / celery; oyster / cucumber / mint). Price including a glass of sparkling wine – 105 PLN / person
Dom Wódki – Elixir – Special tasting menu prepared by chef Michał Tkaczyk. You will find there among others foie gras, seasoned sirloin with shrimps with lobster sauce or white chocolate mousse.
Focaccia – on February 14 at 6 pm and 8.30 pm they will serve a special menu for the price of 90 PLN per person – including the bowl of mussels in white wine with tarragon or ginger with milk chocolate, molasses and candied cherries
Miodowa Cafe – to celebrate Valentine’s Day during 10 – 19 Feb there will be available a special set of 3 exclusive desserts with aphrodisiacs for 30 PLN (lichi / hibiscus / champagne, celery / truffle / buckwheat honey, 70% chocolate / avocado / cinnamon). On Feb 14 – they will offer glass of Prosecco with every dessert bar order.
Nowa Próżna – for Feb 14 chef Damian Wajda prepared seven-course menu (190 PLN / person). The menu features, among others, Mediterranean scallop, foie gras with rhubarb and vanilla, skrei with shrimp sauce, chocolate mille feuille with raspberries and violets.
Oberża pod Czerwonym Wieprzem – between 9 and 15 February in addition to the standard menu there will offer also courses prepared specially to celebrate Valentine’s Day like, among others, grilled shrimps, grilled Angus steak with truffle butter, spicy soup with coconut milk, ginger and chicken.
Signature – chef Wojciech Kilian has prepared a Valentine’s Day dinner menu (270 zł per person). In the menu, among others, Norway lobster with almond mousse with grapefruit and chicory, wild sea bass with wild asparagus, fennel, celery, winter truffle and bottarga
Tamka 43 – chef Piotr Pylakowski has prepared special menu with aphrodisiacs and aromatic spices, which will be available from 10 to 14 Feb at a price 210 PLN / person. The starters and main courses will include eg. lamb consomme, red mullet with mussel and lobster
Varso Vie celebrates this month its second anniversary. From 10 to 14 Feb there will offer a special Valentine’s Day menu (eg. bone marrow with capers and parsley, cod with mashed Jerusalem artichoke with truffle, caramelized carrots and watercress). If you order two starters, two main courses and dessert from the special menu you will get a bottle of Chatonier for free.
Woda Ognista – they prepared Valentine’s Day special drinks based on Martini eg. Lovage, Vanilla and Chili, Chocolate and Walnuts. For each set (appetizer + main dish, main course + dessert, 3 x Polish tapas) they will offer a glass of sparkling wine.
Instead of booking a table in the restaurant you may surprise you Valentine and invite the chef to prepare Valentine’s Day dinner at home … Che will cook dinner, talk about the dishes served and finally clean up.
